Gary Burkholder's Obituary
Gary Burkholder, 66, of Cypress, TX, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014.
Gary was born on December 22, 1947, in North Royalton, OH, to the late Margaret and Henry Burkholder. He graduated from North Royalton High School in 1966 and married the late Carole Krueger on November 27, 1971. They lived together in North Royalton until relocating to Houston, Texas in 1992.
For 40 years, Gary was a dedicated engineer for Caterpillar in Mentor, OH, and MCFA in Houston, TX. He was known as the “go-to-guy” when there was a problem no one else could solve, and for many, he was “the smartest guy I know.” In retirement, Gary could frequently be found in his garage working on cars or mastering a challenging wood project.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carole, and is survived by his 4 sons, Michael, Scott, Brad, and Patrick, and 9 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial Monday, May 12 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road. Interment St. Peter Cemetery. Family will receive friends in the BOGNER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 36625 CENTER RIDGE RD., N. RIDGEVILLE, SUNDAY 2-5 P.M.
