Gary N. Burg's Obituary
Gary N. Burg, age 76, of Avon, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015 at his home following a short illness.
He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of Avon for the past 5 years moving from Fairview Park.
Mr. Burg served in the US Army.
He worked as an Insurance Agent with Prudential for over 30 years, retiring in 1994.
He was a member of American Legion Post 211 in Avon Lake and Bay Presbyterian Church in Westlake, where he was a Deacon.
He enjoyed exercising at LA Fitness, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, boating and cars. He loved the theater and was a season ticket holder at Play House Square.
Gary had a great sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife of 7 years, Barbara Marsh; son, Craig Burg of S. Euclid; daughters, Carrie (Gerald) Wilk of Cleveland, Elizabeth Burg (Clinton Coleman) of Cuyahoga Falls, Jessica Burg of Fayetteville, North Carolina; step-daughter, Brittany Marsh of Costa Mesa, California; step-son, Geoffrey (Samantha) Marsh of Grapevine, Texas; grandchildren, Jerry, Alyssa, CJ and Michael.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sol Burg; mother, Theresa Bauer and sister, Judith Burg.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday at 3PM at Bay Presbyterian Church, 25415 Lake Road, Westlake.
