Frederick A. Lacina Jr.'s Obituary
Frederick A. “Freddie” Lacina Jr., age 44, of Eaton Township passed away suddenly Saturday April 11, 2015 at his home.
Born in Berea, he was a lifelong resident of Eaton Township. He graduated from Midview High School, class of 1990 where he was involved with the R.O.T.C.
A farmer by trade, he operated the family farm; Butternut Farm and Pumpkin Town.
Freddie was a Member of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Formerly Assumption Parish in Grafton, where he had served as an Alter Server. He also was an active member and officer with the Sons of the AMVETS Post 32, Elyria. He was a former member of the Grafton Kiwanis Club.
His hobbies included fishing, collecting arrowheads, studying history and shopping for bargains.
Survivors include his mother Evelyn (nee Klein) of Eaton Township, sisters, Donna (Larry) Janowicz of Elyria, Susan (Eddie) McGinty of Grafton, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, his Godson, Andre Kuch of Grafton and with whom he shared the same birthday, his Fiancé Betty Avonti of Elyria along with her children and grandchildren of whom he was affection ally referred to by as Papa.
He was a very giving person and had many friends including his best friend, Teddy Dowdell of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick, sister Evelyn Jean “Jeannie” Vance and a dear friend Vincent Farkas.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-8 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held 9:15 AM Friday followed by 10:00 AM Mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church 708 Erie Street, Grafton. Rev. John Seabold, Pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.
