Fred Lewis' Obituary
Fred F. Lewis, age 74, passed away at his home in North Ridgeville on August 18, 2012 after a lengthy illness.
He was born on December 28, 1937 in Unicoi County, Tennessee and has lived in North Ridgeville since 1971, moving from Brunswick.
Fred worked at the Ford Motor Company in Brook Park, retiring in 2006 after 48 years of service.
Mr. Lewis enjoyed the outdoors, favoring camping and fishing. He also found great enjoyment in travelling to casinos and working on cars.
He is survived by his sons, Darin Lewis of Wellington, Dean (Dottie) Lewis of Orange Park, Florida and Dwayne (Jennifer) Lewis of Avon; five grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother I.M. Lewis of Wooster.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Virginia; daughter Dawn Marie Lewis in 1967; parents Isaac and Pearl (nee Bennett) Lewis; brother Alloy Lewis; sisters Bessie Brunner and Ella Locke.
Services will be held in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, Thursday, August 23 at 11:00 a.m., where family will receive friends on Wednesday 3-7 p.m. Rev. Chuck Behrens will be the celebrant. Interment Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Brunswick.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to New Life Hospice, 5255 North Abbe Road, Elyria, 44035.
