Frank Root's Obituary
Frank A. Root, Sr. 92 of Avon, died Thursday June 15, 2006 at Lorain Community Health Partners Hospital, Lorain; following a long illness.
Mr. Root was born in Sheffield Village and had lived in Avon since 1936. He was the owner of Frank Root Green House, Avon, from 1944 until retiring in 1978.
He is survived by his wife of 70 Years, Mrs. Jessie (nee Mittelstead) Root; two sons, Frank (Ellen) Root, Jr., of Avon and Jack D. (Helen) Root, of Astec, New Mexico; daughter, Bobbi Matear, of Lorain; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Hammer of Sheffield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry G. "Harry" and Ada I. (nee Rider); grandson, Harry Root and sister, Kathryne Herdendorf.
Family will receive friends on Monday from 7-9 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville; where services will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Garfield Cemetery, Sheffield. Memorial donations suggested to the Avon Fire Department, Att. Equipment Fund, 36185 Detroit Road, Avon, OH 44011
