Frank Kneip's Obituary
Frank E. Kneip, age 80 of North Ridgeville passed away Friday April 29, 2011 at EMH Regional Medical Center following a short illness.
He was born in Redford, Michigan and had resided in N. Ridgeville the past 20 years having moved from Waterford, MI.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Kneip retired in 1987 after 37 years with General Motors where he was an engineer at several Detroit area plants.
He enjoyed golfing, and bowling with the Heart to Heart League at Brunswick Lanes in North Ridgeville.
He was a member of the Elyria Elks Lodge 465, and the N. Ridgeville American Legion.
He is survived by his wife Carol (nee Olszewski).
Preceding him in death where his first wife, Dolores in 1989 and parents, Anthony and Helen (nee Gopp) Kneip.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 PM at David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville where services will be held 1PM Tuesday. Rev. Jim McClaren will officiate.
The VFW Post 1079 will conduct full military honors. Burial will take place 12:30 PM Wednesday at Ottawa Park Cemetery, in Clarkston, MI.
