Frank Hart's Obituary
Frank Hart, age 90, of North Ridgeville, passed away at St. John Medical Center on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 after a brief illness.
He was born on June 1, 1924 in Amherst, Ohio and has lived in North Ridgeville since 1948, moving from Lakewood.
Frank was a U.S. Army veteran with the Armored Tank Division in the Pacific Theater in WWII and also served in the Korean War. He went on to work as an air conditioning specialist with Columbia Gas, retiring in 1984 after 34 years of service.
He was formerly a 4th Degree Knight of St. John, a Life Member of V.F.W. Post 9871 in North Ridgeville, where he was a member of the Color Guard and served as the Post Surgeon Officer. He also volunteered his time delivering Meals on Wheels for the North Ridgeville Senior Center.
In his free time, Frank enjoyed bowling and golf.
He is survived by his daughters Susan (Thomas) Rumancik of North Ridgeville, Karen (William) Littleton of Burlington, Kentucky; son, Timothy (Dawn) Hart of North Ridgeville; grandchildren Jodie (Brian) Perez, Steven (Jennifer) Rumancik, T.J. and Kelly Hart and Zachary Littleton; great-grandchildren Jaden, Evan and Rylan Perez and Connor and Chloe Rumancik; brother Thomas Hart of Olmsted Township; sister Agnes Alsup of Bay Village; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Viola T. “Vi” Hart, in May of this year; parents John V. and Anna E. (nee Brady) Hart; brothers Jack Hart and William Hart; sister Elizabeth Roche.
Friends may call at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, Friday from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday at 11:30 a.m. for a prayer service preceding a 12:00 noon Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville. Rev. Bob Franco will officiate.
Inurnment with Full Military Honors by V.F.W. Post 9871 will be in St. Peter Cemetery, North Ridgeville on Monday at 12:00 noon.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Memorial Fund.
