Fernando A. Martinez's Obituary
Fernando A. Martinez, age 73, of Elyria, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at UH Elyria Medical Center, following a long illness.
He was born in Lorain and had been a resident of Elyria for the past 10 years, moving from Avon.
Fernando was the owner and operator of Triskett Lanes in Cleveland and later on, Bay Lanes in Bay Village and Sugar Lanes in Elyria, retiring in 1997.
Survivors include his companion of 22 years, Janet Pachinger; daughters, Tami-Jo (Robert) Remick of Elyria, Marla (John) Gansor of Avon, Joni (Thomas) Ruffner of Camden Twp., Joi (Dale) Kime of Avon; 7 grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Maria Martinez of Williamsburg, Pennsylvania, Marie Alicia (Larry) Ford of Wellington, Angelina (Greg) Yellowlees of Bolton, Canada; brothers, Louis Jr. (Claudette) Martinez of Seattle, WA, Louis Joseph (Geraldine) Martinez of Marietta, Georgia, Rodolph (Gayle) Martinez of North Royalton, Alexander (Eleanor) Martinez of North Olmsted, Mario (Peggy) Martinez of Elyria.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley June (nee Brady) Martinez; son, Jay Martinez; grandson, Adam Brownfield; sisters, Yovonnaita Toth, Louisa Pedrazza, Madalena Martinez; brother, Ricardo Martinez; parents, Louis and Marie (nee Sanders) Martinez.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Wednesday at
10 AM in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
