Evelyn Shaw's Obituary
Evelyn R. Shaw (nee Steuer), age 91, of North Ridgeville, passed away Thursday at her home following a long illness.
She was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1983 moving from St. Petersburg, Florida where she had lived for 13 years. She previously lived in Middleburg Hts. for 30 years.
Mrs. Shaw was a member of the North Ridgeville Senior Center, where she volunteered delivering meals on wheels and also the American Red Cross, where she helped distribute the polio vaccine. She enjoyed roller skating, playing the organ and camping.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dudley; daughter Mrs. Thomas (Carole) Hamlin of North Ridgeville; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sandra Lee Thomas; sons D. Webster and Forest A. Shaw; parents, Arthur Steuer and Cora Drynam; brother Arthur Steuer and sister Dorothy Gogolen.
Friends may call Saturday from 11:30AM until the time of services at 1:00PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Bill Shomo will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Office for Older Adults, 7307 Avon Belden Road, North Ridgeville, Ohio 44039 or the Alzheimer's Association, 12200 Fairhill Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44120.
