Ethel M. Norton's Obituary
Ethel M. Norton (nee King), age 96, of Bay Village, formerly of North Ridgeville passed away Saturday August 11, 2018 at O’Neill Health Care Center, Bay Village.
Born in New Haven, Connecticut. She had resided in North Ridgeville since 1988, then moved back to Bay Village in 2015. She graduated from New Haven College of Business.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Avon.
Ethel volunteered at various hospitals for over 30 years, including St. John Westshore, Bayview and Euclid General Hospital. During WW II she worked for the Red Cross and USO. She also worked for the New York New Haven New Hartford Railroad.
Her hobbies included gardening and golfing with her husband and friends and was a member of the Association of New West Siders.
Survivors include her cousins, Margaret Osman, Mary Henninger, Jackie Koch and Charlie (Joan) Spiegel.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Harry in 2001, and her parents, Thomas and Rose King.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10AM on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church 33601 Detroit Road, Avon. Rev. John Misenko, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Inurnment will take place at 12:45PM on Tuesday at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
