Ethel Mae "Billie" Bier's Obituary
Ethel Mae “Billie” Bier (nee Bement) age 94, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, which would have been their 71st wedding anniversary,
at St. John Medical Center in Westlake.
She was born in North Ridgeville, where she remained a lifelong resident.
Billie was a bus driver for North Ridgeville City Schools for 23 years, retiring in 1984. She enjoyed volunteering at St. John Medical Center for 10 years and was very active with North Ridgeville Community Care.
She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in North Ridgeville, where she was the founding member of the Ladies Evening Society. She also served on several committees and helped with many church dinners. She was also involved with PTA and the Cubs Scouts for many years.
Survivors include her sons, Michael (Joan) Bier, Timothy (Denise) Bier and Jeffrey (Janet) Bier all of North Ridgeville; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, June (James) Yost of North Ridgeville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth in 2012; grandson, Michael in 2005; sisters, Hazel Atkinson, Betty Bement and Emma Suboraska; brothers, Donald and Mert Bement; parents, True and Arla (nee Dewey) Bement.
Friends may call Friday from 4-7PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Saturday at 11AM in the funeral home. Rev. Arik Borstad will officiate.
Burial will be in Ridgeville Cemetery.
