Erwin "Ed" Wolfram's Obituary
Erwin Edward "Ed" Wolfram, age 64, of Elyria, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria.
He was born in Elyria and grew up in Avon before moving back to Elyria where he spent most of his life.
Mr. Wolfram served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Ed worked as a supervisor for USG (formerly Don Products) in Westlake for over 30 years, retiring Feb. 1, 2011.
He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Elyria and the Lorain County Bee Keepers Association.
He enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing and bee keeping.
Survivors include his companion of many years, Verna Kravec; daughters, Patricia Wolfram of Avon Lake, Sheryl (Kevin) Wacker of Spencer; sons, David Wolfram of Streetsboro, Edward (Jennifer) Wolfram of North Ridgeville; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen "Pat" Farren of Elyria, Marilyn Cooley of Greenwich, Joanne Wolfram of Avon; brothers, James Wolfram of Amherst, Stephen Wolfram of Wakeman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Helen Wolfram.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Friday at 11 AM in the funeral home. Rev. Paul Jaster will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon where VFW Post 9871 North Ridgeville will conduct full military honors.
