Ervin "Keith" K. Sluss' Obituary
Ervin K. “Keith” Sluss, age 84 of Elyria, was called home Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin. He was born in Clintwood, VA., and had been a resident of Elyria for over 60 years. He worked as a welder for Ford for over 40 years retiring in 2000. He was a member of College Heights Baptist Church and UAW 2000. Keith enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, photography, woodworking, fishing, going on cruises, and traveling. He is survived by his daughters Terri (Tim) Sluss-Cole, Sondra (Patrick) Cole, son Douglas (Beverly) Sluss; grandchildren Christopher (Julie) Capasso, Bethany Capasso, Felecia, Marissa and Elijah Sluss, Olivia (Joshua) Holden, Evan Cole, Emma Cole; great-grandchildren Isabella and Scarlett Capasso, Hunter Anderson; sister Alene Mullins; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death his wife Anita Louise; parents Rev. General Sluss and Minnie Sluss; sisters Orpha Mullins, Delcie Mullins, Clarcie Farmer, Naomi Slagle, Hattie Patterson; brother Rev. Earle Sluss. Family will receive friends Sunday, August 21, 2022, from 3-5pm at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, and Monday from 11:00 am until time of service at 11:30 am in the funeral home. Pastor Darrell Deer will officiate. Burial will follow at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
