Erica Edmisten's Obituary
Erica Edmisten, age 77 of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2026. She was born in Germany and has lived in the area for 23 years; having moved here from Columbia Station, Ohio.
Erica’s first priority in life was the tender care and nurturing she provided for her husband and her children. Beyond that, she enjoyed the simple pleasures of life such as shopping and a good game of Chance.
She is survived by her loving husband Abe of 59 years; children Lisa Harrison of North Ridgeville, Rich Edmisten of West Virginia, and Eric Edmisten of Columbia Station; and 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Timothy and Nadia Gonczar, and her brothers Leon, Walter, Nick, and John Gonczar, and sister Veronica Kovalenko.
Friends may call at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36225 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 11 AM – 12 PM. A funeral service in Erica’s honor will take place at 12 noon at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH, on Wednesday, July 22, at 2:15 PM.
