Elrita G. Green's Obituary
Elrita G. Green (nee Jordan), age 89, of Elyria, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at the Mercy New Life Hospice Center in Lorain. She was born on November 27, 1930 in Chesapeake, West Virginia and had been a resident of Elyria for the past 27 years, moving from Oberlin.
She worked as a cook at Oberlin College for over 20 years and was a member of the New Hope Lighthouse Church in Grafton. Elrita enjoyed playing piano, cooking, and traveling, but found her greatest joy in spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons Clyde (Mary) Green of West Virginia, Steve (Georgie) Green of Elyria, Edward (Janell) Green of Amherst and Joe (Iris) Green of Lorain; daughters Leaverne Reinhold of Wellington and Polly (Arnie) Farlow of Elyria; 10 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; brothers James (Patty) Jordan of Jacksonville, FL and Orville (Jane) Jordan of Richmond, KY.
Elrita was receded in death by her husband Palmer Green; grandson Scott Aaron Green; granddaughter Heather Green; great granddaughter Lena McKnight; parents Orville M. and Ethel Mae (nee Jerrell) Jordan; sisters Arwanna Berry, Rozella Gilliland and Joy Scott; brother John Jordan.
All services will be private but will be live streamed on the Bogner Family Funeral Home Facebook page Tuesday, December 1, at 11:00 a.m.
