Ellis Maynard's Obituary
Ellis Maynard, age 78, of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019 at his home.
He was born in Martin County, Kentucky and had been a resident of Cleveland since 1961 moving from Oceana, West Virginia.
Ellis worked in shipping and receiving for Grief Brothers from 1961 until 1999. He then went on to work for CLE-Corporation retiring in 2006.
He was a former member of Pearl Brook Baptist Church and was past president of Paper Workers Union Local 634.
He enjoyed bowling, pitching horseshoes, watching boxing and shooting pool.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Vivian (nee Cessna); brothers, Wallace (Marlene) Maynard of Fairdale, West Virginia, Adrian (Sheila) Maynard of Clear Folk, West Virginia and Thomas (Deanna) Maynard of Kopperstown, West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Wilda (nee Staton) Maynard; brothers, Truman and John Maynard; sister, Edith Blankenship and Virginia Borders.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11AM.
Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
