Ellen S. Hamrick's Obituary
Ellen S. Hamrick (nee Foley), age 66, of Elyria, passed away on April 17, 2017 at O’Neill Healthcare Center North Ridgeville.
She was born in Fairview, WV and had been a lifelong resident of Elyria. Ellen was a waitress for over 25 years at Hazel’s Restaurant. She enjoyed vacationing, shopping, bowling, and dancing. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren. Ellen was a former member of Church of the Open Door.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary (Don) McElhaney of North Ridgeville; grandchildren, Brianna McElhaney, Dustin McElhaney, Caden McElhaney; a sister, Linda (William) Yoder of South Carolina; a nephew, Robert Yoder; and a niece, Melissa Sperko.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie “Sonny” Hamrick and her parents, Howard and Mary (nee Swiger) Foley.
All services will be private.
