Elizabeth R. Kelly's Obituary
Elizabeth R. Kelly passed away on October 23, 2024 with her family by her side, in Westlake , Ohio. Born on June 21, 1940, Elizabeth dedicated her life to her family and community, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
Elizabeth was a beacon of kindness and generosity, known for her role in founding the North Ridgeville Senior Center and initiating numerous outreach programs for seniors. Her commitment to community service was paralleled by her love for her family. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose guidance and affection shaped the lives of her descendants.
Surviving Elizabeth are her brother, Carl Rein; her children, Jeffrey (Robin) Kelly, Peggy (Charles) Hughes, Cindy Kelly, and Matthew Kelly; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved canine companions, Kosmo and Willow. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Nancy Rein, and her son, Carl L. Kelly.
An avid painter of ceramics and card player, Elizabeth's hobbies brought joy not only to her but also to those around her. Her favorite moments were spent with her friends at Concord Reserve and with her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world.
A private family graveside service was held to honor Elizabeth's life and legacy. A memorial service to celebrate Elizabeth's life will be on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at the Concord Reserve, 2116 Dover Center Rd, Westlake, OH 44145. Rev. Dr. Tom Joyce will preside.
