Elizabeth Cornman's Obituary
Elizabeth J. Cornman (nee Smith), age 90 of North Ridgeville, died Sunday, March 26, 2006 at the North Ridge Health Center following a short illness.
She was born August 25, 1915 in Volta, CA. She had resided in North Ridgeville the past 60 years, having moved from Elyria.
She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, North Ridgeville. She enjoyed playing pinochle, and being active with the North Ridgeville Seniors. When her children were young she was a Girl Scout leader.
Mrs. Cornman worked as a Cook for North Ridgeville Public Schools retiring in 1978.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Patricia Tanner of LaGrange, OH, Cathy Cornman of North Ridgeville; 3 Sons, Robert Cornman of Elyria, Lawrence Cornman of Cleveland, Scott Cornman of Avon, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and one brother, Max Smith of Plymouth, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by husband, Oren in 1968, her parents, Arthur and Estelle Smith, and her sister Eleanor Moody in1996..
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Wednesday at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 36363 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Reverend David Connor will officiate.
Private interment will be in the Ridgehill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
