Elizabeth Chivers' Obituary
Elizabeth K. Chivers, 95 of North Ridgeville died Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at St. John West Shore Hospital following a short illness.
She was born January 14, 1911 in Jefferson, SC. She lived most of her life in Marion, SC where she and her husband owned and operated the Francis Marion Motel for thirty-five years, retiring in 1988. She had been a resident of Avon Lake and North Ridgeville for the past five years.
Elizabeth was a member of the Marion First Methodist Church in Marion, SC. She enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, reading, and was an avid bridge player.
Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Wittschen ( David ) of North Ridgeville; two grandchildren, Lisa DiCapua of Avon Lake and David Wittschen of Avon; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William R.; parents, Baxter B. Kelly Sr. and Lola Alice ( nee Gaster ); sister, Mozelle Kelly-Perry and her brother Baxter B. Kelly Jr.
Friends will be received Friday July 7 from 6-8PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Funeral service and burial to take place on Friday August 4th at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion, SC.
