I had the pleasure of working with Eleanor at Little Sisters of the Poor. She was an outstanding caregiver! Her friend, Mildred often worked with her as a team. I was thrilled to be on duty when she/they were there.
She was so proud of her dear family of whom she spoke so highly. During the early years of her retirement, when she and Ira moved back to Toronto, Ohio “near the river” The McMahon’s drove a few of us down to visit. Dorothy Mc Mahon was also a nurse who worked with Eleanor. They were fast friends. Dorothy went to heaven about 6 weeks ago and was there now to welcome Eleanor!
I last visited Eleanor in person when she lived in Avon.
She was THE best card writer! I’m so sorry to have lost touch these last few years but took comfort in knowing she had such a loving family!
My Sincere Sympathy,
Judy Nieser
