Eleanor Price's Obituary
Eleanor G. Price (nee Kerekes), age 88 of Amherst, passed away Saturday March 9, 2013 at the home of her son in Mansfield following a short illness.
She was born in Bedford and had been a resident of Amherst for the past 53 years, moving from Lorain.
Eleanor worked as a librarian for St. Joseph School.
She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Amherst, where she was active with the Altar and Rosary Society and a past officer of Legion of Mary.
She enjoyed taking care of her daughter, playing BINGO, line dancing and staying active.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan (Jack) Hart of Elyria, Pat (Dan) Malin of Lorain, Jane (Rick) Super of West Salem, Ellen Price of Amherst; sons, Rick (Kathy) Price of Mansfield, Bill (Rita) Price of North Ridgeville; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, John Kerekes of Lynchburg, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Price; parents, Francis and Mary (nee Krozser) Kerekes; sisters, Anne Vargo, Mary Hart and Grace Kerekes.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst, where a prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Thursday followed by 10 AM Mass at St. Joseph Church, 175 St. Joseph Dr., Amherst. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
