Eleanor Palczer's Obituary
Eleanor P. Palczer (nee Streving), age 90, of Elyria passed away Monday July 19, 2010 at her home following a brief illness.
She was born in North Olmsted. She had resided in Elyria the past 10 years, after moving from Eaton Township where she had lived for most of her life.
She worked as a cook for Midview School for over 25 years; where she was better known by the kids as "Cookie."
Mrs. Palczer enjoyed volunteering at EMH Regional Medical Center, was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and loved to listen to and play the piano and organ.
Survivors include her daughters, Karen (Irving) Teeple of Elyria, Carol (Ray) Straining of Panama City Beach, Florida, nephew Michael Palczer whom made his home with her, grandchildren, William Ward, Gary Ward, Mary Byers, Denise Mott, Stephanie Thompson and Ray Straining, 18 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph in 1991, son Dean in 1999, infant sister, Margaret Streving, brother Arnold Streving, and parents, Henry and Meta Streving.
Private graveside services will be held at Butternut Ridge Cemetery in Eaton Township.
The family will receive friends at her home, 306 Roosevelt Avenue Elyria, on Wednesday from 3-6 PM.
