My sister Gene called today to let me know of my sister Elaine's passing. During one of their last visits Elaine asked Gene to call me if anything should happen to her.
I am Chuck Miller Elaine and Gene's brother.
Being younger than Elaine she was a very important person in the early years of my childhood. Between Elaine and sister Gene I have many fond memories although being the baby of the family and only son most likely I was mores of a pest to two teen age sisters.
But as the years went I began to see Elaine as the gentle, caring, good nature Adult with a heart of gold. Always ready to assist someone in need of help. Her life was not easy. But she always had a smile and word of encouragement for any situation. Elaine was an optimist always looking for the best possible outcome of actions or events.
I am very sad that I was not with Elaine to lend support with the passing of her husband John and son Larry. But just as her family did today, I was not notified of their passing and if it was not for my sister Gene I would not have been informed of Elaine's passing.
Elaine as always will be in our family prayers. We pray that Elaine is in a better place with GODS Blessings which she is so deserving of.
