Edwin Montalvo's Obituary
Edwin W. Montalvo, age 74, of Elyria, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2009 at EMH Regional Medical Center following a long illness.
He was born December 31, 1934 in Manhattan, NY. He had resided in Elyria 31 years. He previously lived in North Ridgeville and Lorain.
Mr. Montalvo served in the US Army from 1953-1956. He was a member of American Legion in Elyria.
He was a 1989 graduate of the Ohio State Police Academy and worked for Spartan Private Patrol and worked as a Security Guard for Invacare in Elyria for the past 19 years.
Mr. Montalvo was an auxiliary police officer for the Elyria Police Department.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Barbara (nee Rose), daughters Bathsheba of Tulsa, OK and Lynnette Montalvo at home, sons, Tedallen Slater of Columbus and Timothy W. Montalvo of Sullivan, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren, two sisters, Olga "Cindy" Fusco of Long Island, NY and Evelyn Solanto of West Chester, NY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldio and Mary Montalvo and one son Anthony Slater
A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM Sunday June 7th at Cornerstone United Methodist Church 2949 West River Road North Elyria, Ohio 44035.
