Edna "Louise" Phelps' Obituary
Edna “Louise” Phelps, (nee Davis), age 84, of North Ridgeville, passed away on November 16, 2013 at the Elms Retirement Center in Wellington, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on December 16, 1928 in Simpson, WV and had lived in North Ridgeville for 48 years before moving to Wellington.
Edna loved gardening, and could always be found tending to the yard at her home. She also enjoyed spending her time crocheting and quilting.
She is survived by her sons Charles (Alice) Phelps of Wakeman and Roland “Russ” (Susie) Phelps of North Ridgeville; daughter Cynthia (David) Bonness of North Ridgeville; grandchildren James Phelps, Angela (Gary) Freeman, Dowden (Andrea) Phelps, Keith, Teresa, Kenneth, Douglas, Sarah and Gary Bonness, Tommy (Chelly) Slater, Bridget (Jack) Mancuso, Billy (Crystal) Slater; 33 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother James (JoAnn) Davis of Niceville, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dowden Charles “Bud” Phelps in 1991; parents Stanley and Nellie (nee Preston) Davis; longtime companion James Haller in 1995.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Private interment in Bridgeport Cemetery, Bridgeport, WV.
