Edith Mckee's Obituary
Edith C. (Aida) McKee (nee DeMarco), age 85 of N. Ridgeville died Saturday, September 22, 2007 at North Ridge Health Center following a short illness.
She was born November 25, 1921 in the Little Italy area of Cleveland. She had resided in North Ridgeville the past 50 years
Mrs. McKee was as a Executive Secretary at Acorn Paint and Chemical Co., Cleveland until retiring in 1970. She previously worked at Davis Paint Co., also in Cleveland.
She was a member of St. Peter Church. She was a 50 year member of the Westpark Isabella Guild. She enjoyed crafts and was a past president of the N. Ridgeville Craft Guild. She also enjoyed playing the organ and piano at several local senior centers, including North Ridgeville, Fairview Park, Bay Village and Westlake. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, traveling, fishing and was a past member of Four Seasons Boat Club in Parma.
Mrs. McKee volunteered at the Cleveland Public Library teaching Italian Immigrants the English language.
Surviving are Son, Michael McKee of North Ridgeville; daughter, Kathleen (Scot) Stradley of Glyndon, MN; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; dear cousin, Margaret Leary of Willoughby and brother in law, Victor Cirino.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Francis "Mac", twin sons, Angelo and Timothy McKee, twin great grandsons, Eric and Ethan McKee, Parents, Angelo and Carmela DeMarco, brothers, Joseph and Pete DeMarco and sister, Louise Cirino.
Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-9 PM Wednesday, September 26 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, N. Ridgeville. A prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Thursday in the funeral home followed by 10:00 AM Mass at St. Peter Church 35777 Center Ridge Rd. N. Ridgeville. Rev. Stephen Kaminski, Pastor will be the celebrant.
Interment will follow in the St. Peter's Cemetery.
