Edith Garsteck's Obituary
Edith P Garsteck (nee Kovach), age 95, of Parma Hts., passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Bradley Bay Nursing Home, Bay Village.
Born in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Parma Hts. for the past 10 years.
Edith enjoyed cooking, baking, polka dancing.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Parma; Slovenian Club at W 130th in Cleveland, where she was named past woman of the year.
Survivors include her daughters, Rose Mary (Jim) Mayo of Houston, TX, Sharon (Pat) Campbell of North Ridgeville, Bernadette (Tom) Hughes of Brunswick Hills; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard in 1968 and brother, Louie Kovach.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held on Tuesday at 9:30AM followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Peter Church. Rev. Stephen Kaminski, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Cleveland.
