Edgardo Ison's Obituary
Edgardo L. Ison, age 76 of North Ridgeville, died Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at St. John West Shore Hospital, Westlake following a short illness.
He was born August 17, 1929 in Parnaque, Philippines. He had resided in North Ridgeville the past six years, having moved from San Pablo, CA where he had lived for 12 years.
He was a former member of the Holy Name Society and the Pampanga Lions Club in the Philippines.
Mr. Ison was a plumber for 39 years on the Clark Air Base in the Philippines until moving to California where he worked in the maintenance department of the Marriot Hotel in Richmond, CA.
He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed fixing most anything in addition to cutting his family members hair. He also enjoyed word puzzles.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Eustaquia (nee Calma) 5 daughters, Wilhelmina Galang of North Ridgeville, Rebecca Audencial, Irmina Relevo, Maria Ligaya, all of the Philippines, Haydee Johansson of North Ridgeville; 3 Sons, Redentor and Wilfredo Ison both of the Philippines, Rodel Ison of North Ridgeville, 23 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; brother, Arceo Ison; 4 Sisters, Rosario Balenbin of Daly City, CA, Amelia Jose of San Pablo, CA, Virginia Marquez of Las Vegas, NV and Magdalena Miller of Hercules, CA.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Magdalena and Nicanor Ison Sr., son Edwin Ison, brother Nicanor Ison Jr., and sister Dolores Wijanco.
Friends will be received 3-7 PM Sunday, July 2 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, where a prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Monday followed by 10 AM Mass at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church 5500 North Lear Nagle Road North Ridgeville. Rev. Dr. Richard A. Gonser, Pastor will be the celebrant.
