Earl Lindstrom's Obituary
Earl G. Lindstrom, age 90, of North Ridgeville, passed away Sunday August 27th at his son's home in Wellington.
Born in Rocky River, he was a resident of Wellington for the past two years and formerly lived in North Ridgeville for over 50 years.
Mr. Lindstrom served in the US Army in the 99th Infantry Division in the Battle of the Bulge during WWII.
He worked as a machinist for Bendix-Westinghouse in Elyria and retired in 1980 after 32 years of service.
He was a member of Faith Baptist Temple and the Frank Harmon Masonic Lodge.
He was a master gardener and enjoyed growing and selling all kinds of plants but especially trees. He was also an avid reader and loved American-Indian History.
Survivors include son, Jamie Lindstrom of Wellington; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances B. Lindstrom in 1990; son, Richard Vandegeer who died in the Vietnam War; father, Gustav Lindstrom; mother Jenny Wessman; brother, Eddie Lindstrom; sisters, Lindy Brandt, Irene Gunnerfeldt, Dadee Petit.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:30AM in the funeral home. Rev. Ray Carpenter, Pastor of Faith Baptist Temple, North Ridgeville, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
