Earl Casper's Obituary
Earl A. Casper, age 78, of North Ridgeville, passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 at Center Ridge Nursing Home, North Ridgeville, following a long illness.
Born in Cleveland, he was a resident of North Ridgeville since 1939.
Mr. Casper served in the US Navy.
He worked as a painter for Ford Motor Company's Lorain Assembly Plant, for 29 years, retiring in 1991.
Earl was a member of Sugar Ridge Baptist Church, North Ridgeville and the UAW local 425.
He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Indians and Browns.
Survivors include his wife, Patty (nee Buchanan); daughter, Peggy Jo Howk of Wellington; sons, Donald A. Schmittgen of Huntington, Earl A. Sunkle of LaGrange, Edward A. Casper of Litchfield, and Michael A. Casper of North Ridgeville; brothers, Lawrence of North Ridgeville, Joseph of Pikeville, Tennessee; sisters, Emma Welch of North Ridgeville, Ruth Mansfield of Wadsworth; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Alice Casper; grandson, Michael Casper and brother, Robert.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday. Rev. Michael Manosky, pastor of Sugar Ridge Baptist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon where the North Ridgeville VFW Post 9871 will conduct full military honors.
