Dudley Shaw's Obituary
Dudley W. Shaw, 95 of N. Ridgeville, passed away Monday, December 31, 2007 at Center Ridge Health Campus, N. Ridgeville following a long illness.
Born in Lakewood, he had been a resident of N.Ridgeville since 1983 moving from St. Petersburg, Florida, where he had lived for 13 years. Before that, he had been a resident of Middleburg Heights where he was the Fire Chief for 30 years before retiring in 1972.
He was a member of the N. Ridgeville Senior Center where he volunteered for Meals-On-Wheels and was on the advisory board. He also volunteered for the American Red Cross.
He enjoyed roller skating, boating and camping.
Survivors include his daughter, Carole Hamlin of N. Ridgeville; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; daughter, Sandra Lee Thomas; sons, D. Webster and Forest A. Shaw; and his parents, Anson and Clara Shaw.
Friends may call Wednesday from 11:30AM until the time of services at 1:00PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Sr. Rita Costello, of New Life Hospice, will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the N. Ridgeville Office for Older Adults, 7327 Avon Belden Rd., N. Ridgeville, 44039.
