Dorothy Yost's Obituary
Dorothy A. Yost (nee Hall), age 91, of North Ridgeville, died on Monday at Center Ridge Nursing Home; following a brief illness.
She was born in Elyria and had been a life long resident of North Ridgeville and Elyria.
She graduated from North Ridgeville High School and was a former member of the Fields United Methodist Church.
Over the years she had worked at the Pfaudler Co., Bendix Co. of Elyria, Lorain County Building and Construction Trades Council and as a secretary for the North Ridgeville City Schools superintendents.
Mrs. Yost enjoyed reading and cooking.
Surviving are her sons, James P. Yost, Sr. of North Ridgeville and Thomas A. Yost, of Ormond Beach, FL; daughter, Sue A. Shambora, of Williamsburg, VA; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; brothers, Charles G. Hall of Geneva, OH and Eugene G. Hall, of Cleveland.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn E. Yost, in 1969; son Robert Yost, in 1939; her parents, Floyd Morris and Alice Lydia (nee Hobill) Hall; brother, Gerald W. Hall and sister, Betty M. Hall.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-8 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville; where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10AM. Reverend David Connor, pastor of the 1st Congregational United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Olmsted Falls.
