Dorothy Shelton's Obituary
Dorothy Clay Shelton (nee Clubbs), age 82, of Winder, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the home of her daughter in Nicholson, Georgia.
She was born in Robertson County, Tennessee and was a resident of Winder, GA for the past five years, moving from North Ridgeville, where she had lived since 1968. She also resided in Bay Village for 10 years prior to moving to North Ridgeville.
Dorothy worked as a machine operator for Dreco in North Ridgeville for 16 years before retiring in 1985.
She attended Fields United Methodist Church in North Ridgeville and enjoyed camping, fishing, reading, playing cards, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son, Michael (Barbara) of Elyria; daughters, Sandra Burwell of Statham, Georgia, Deborah (Gary) Kusak Vondriska of Homerville, Lisa (Gary) Lett of Winder, Georgia, Tammy (Vernon) Hetrick of Nicholson, Georgia; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and sister, Mary Lou Fleming of Portland, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband Winford, and their infant son, David; brothers, Bobby Joe, Carmen and Alvin Clubbs; sisters, Annie Byrum, Shirley Key, Minnie Eden, Hazel Stewart, Glenda Clubbs; parents, William and Leona (nee Walker) Clubbs.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Tuesday at 10AM in the funeral home. Rev. Tom Joyce will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
