Dorothy "Dot" Looney's Obituary
Dorothy “Dot” Looney, age 91, of Elyria, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at the Wesleyan Village in Elyria.
She was born in Glo, KY, and has lived in Elyria for the past 67 years.
Dot was a homemaker who enjoyed flowers, gardening and loved to travel.
She was a member of the former Calvary Apostolic Church in Sheffield.
Survivors include her sons, Robert “Rod” Looney of Elyria, and Larry (Kris) Looney of Grafton; two grandchildren; brother-in-law, Carl (Elizabeth) Looney of Wintersprings, FL.
She is together again with her late husband Denvil “Danny” Looney to whom she was married for over 65 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Doly-Ann Burkett; brothers, Jeff, Doug, Earl, and James; sisters, Ruby, Ada, and Allie.
Private family service will be held at a later date at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
Chaplin Bill Goodrich will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
The family would like to recognize all of those who worked at the Wesleyan Village 3rd floor for their dedication and kindness throughout the past 6 years of her residency.
