Dora Sloan's Obituary
Dora Edith Sloan (nee Redwine), age 92 Wellington, died Friday, February 18, 2005 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following a long illness.
She was born February 10, 1913 in Spring City, TN.
She had resided in Wellington since 1993 when she had moved from Port Charlotte, Florida where she had resided 14 years. She had lived most of her life in North Ridgeville.
She was a former member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
Surviving are daughter, Lois Knittel of North Ridgeville; 5 Sons, Vollney Ferguson of Grafton, Vennis Ferguson of Crossville, TN, Kenneth Ferguson of Crossville, TN, Steve Ferguson of Penfield, Terry Ferguson of Wellington; ten grandchildren, many great grandchildren and one sister Berta Redwine,of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Preston Ferguson , 2nd husband, James Sloan in 2000, parents, D.C. and Clara Redwine, one son, Ollney Ferguson in 1999; sisters Alice Hyder, Glaydes Stone, Jessie Hambly and Ruby Miller; brothers, Elmer Redwine, Bob Redwine, Junior Redwine,and Jack Redwine.
Friends will be received 5-8 PM, Monday, February 21, at the at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville, where a prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Tuesday. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Peter Church 35777 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. Reverend Stephen Kaminski, Pastor will officiate.
Interment will follow in the St. Peter's Cemetery, North Ridgeville, Ohio.
