Donald Schroeder's Obituary
Donald Edward Schroeder, age 81, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Sunday,
November 29, 2009 at Hearthland Medical Center in Florida, following a long
illness.
Born in Elyria, he lived in the North Ridgeville and Elyria area for 60
years, moving to Sebring in 1988.
Donald served in the US Navy from 1946-1949. He received the American
Theater Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
He worked as a truck driver for Keeshin Trucking and Cropp Enterprises He
also owned Johnnies Carry Out in Oberlin, retiring in 1988.
He was a member of Spring Lake Men's Golf Association.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Bette Schroeder (nee
Bunce); daughter, Kathleen (Patrick) Price; sons, Kenneth (Gail) Schroeder,
Timothy (Deanne) Schroeder; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren;
sisters, Marcella Norman, Marge (Regis) Poyle; brother Dale (Beverly)
Schroeder.
He was preceded in death by sister, Lucille Tomski; brothers, George, Alan,
Glenn, Alvin and Warren Schroeder; parents Conrad and Alice Schroeder (nee
Tyson).
Friends may call Friday, December 11, 2009 from 11:00AM until the time of
memorial service at 11:30AM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625
Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer
Society, 10501 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106.
