Donald G. Popovich Sr.'s Obituary
Donald G. Popovich Sr., age 90, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake. He was born on November 13, 1934, in Republic, PA and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 58 years. Donald was a U.S. Army Veteran and worked at General Motors for 44 years, retiring in 1999. He favored watching baseball games, but enjoyed watching sports in general, as well as Westerns and crime shows.
Donald is survived by his children Donna Popovich of Westerville and Stephen Popovich of North Ridgeville; grandchildren Michael and Elizabeth Popovich of Penfield, NY; sister Patricia Popovich of Springfield, VA; sister-in-law Paulette Popovich of Virginia Beach, VA, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Wanda (nee Caudill); son Donald G. Popovich Jr.; parents Anna (nee Dickey) and Roddy Popovich; brothers Steven, Roddy (Elizabeth) and John Popovich.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625, Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, on Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral Service Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Alan Jenkins will officiate. Interment with full military honors will be in Ridgeville Cemetery.
