Donald L. Nagel's Obituary
Donald L. Nagel, age 80, of North Ridgeville, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at St. John Medical Center in Westlake.
He was born in Avon and had lived in North Ridgeville for the past 65 years.
Donald owned and operated Nagel Plastering from 1955 until he retired in 2005.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville.
He loved gardening, especially vegetables for his roadside stand. He also enjoyed working in his yard, going on bus trips, spending time and playing games with his grandchildren and was also an avid Cleveland Browns fan.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Rita (nee Bring); son, Donald J. (Leilani) Nagel of Avon; grandchildren, Alison, Benjamin and Jacob; sister, Nancy Hollingshead of North Ridgeville and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Helen (nee Novisk) Nagel; brother, LeRoy Nagel; brother-in-law, Albert Hollingshead.
Friends may call Friday from 5-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A prayer service will be held on Saturday at 9:30AM in the funeral home followed by a 10 AM Mass at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd. Rev. Bob Sanson will be the celebrant.
Private interment will be at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the care of the Nagel family to plant a tree in memory of Donald.
