Donald Markley's Obituary
Donald W. Markley, age 59 of North Ridgeville passed away suddenly on January 8, 2010 in Marietta, Ohio. He was born August 29, 1950 in Buffalo, NY and had resided in North Ridgeville for the past 45 years. Don was employed as a carpenter at the Renaissance in Olmsted Township. A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a member of the Wellington Eagles and he enjoyed golf, hunting, woodworking and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his mate of 25 years, Norma "Norm" Smith, a sister, Janet (Willard) Jobes of Claysville, PA, two brothers, James Markley of Lexington, SC and David Markley and by 34 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlyn and Arthur Markley and by a sister, Nancy. Friends will be received from 5-8 P.M. Monday, January 11, 2010 in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Fields United Methodist Church 34077 Lorain Rd., North Ridgeville where friends may call beginning at 10 A.M. Rev. Dr. James McClaren, pastor will officiate. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Assn.
