Donald Maher's Obituary
Donald Joseph Maher, age 77, of North Ridgeville, died Saturday evening at New Life Hospice of Saint Joseph, Lorain following a long illness.
He was born January 9, 1928 in Cleveland. He had resided in Parma for 29 years; before moving to North Ridgeville four years ago.
He served in the United States Coast Guard during WW II.
He was the owner of the Don Maher Poultry Company in Cleveland for forty years and retired in 2000.
He is survived by three sisters, Joan (Wayne) Greenley, of North Olmsted, Nancy Klucho, of Arlington, VA and Gloria (William) Livingston, of North Ridgeville; sixteen nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Maher and Anna Shieler-Wilde; brothers, Vernon, Jr. and Raymond Maher and a sister, Lylia Maher.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7-9 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville; where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM. Reverend Paul Oberhaus, pastor of The Shepherd of the Ridge Lutheran Church, North Ridgeville, will officiate.
Burial will be Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
