Donald F. Kiser's Obituary
Donald F. Kiser, age 77, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Southwest General Hospital following a sudden illness.
He was born in Prosperity, West Virginia and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 55 years.
Donald worked as a custodian for Ford Motor Company at the Cleveland Engine Plant #1 where he spent 40 years before retiring in 1996.
He was a member of UAW Local 1250, where he was Chairman of the retirees for the past 12 years and the Masonic Elyria Lodge 787.
He enjoyed going to auctions and flea markets and also loved to bird watching, gardening and listening to Blue Grass music.
Survivors include his longtime companion, Barbara Reynolds; daughters, Barbara Carr of Cape Coral, Florida, Charlotte Kiser of North Ridgeville; step-son, Duane Plaltzer of Elyria; grandchildren, Shannon Hutton and Brandon Franklyn Brown; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Charlotte Lou Wheeler of Clearwater, Florida; brother, Kenneth (Donna) Kiser of Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his son, Donald F. Kiser Jr.; grandson, TJ Turner; parents, Loomis and Edith Kiser.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where a Masonic Service will be held at 7:30PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10AM in the funeral home. Pastor Mike Payne of Cathedral of Life Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
