Donald "Don" E Wilhelmy Jr's Obituary
Donald “Don” Edward Wilhelmy Jr., age 66, of North Ridgeville, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the University Hospital Elyria Medical Center.
He was born on December 1, 1954 in Elyria and has been a lifelong resident of North Ridgeville. He worked as a road foreman for the city of North Olmsted, retiring in 2008. He was a longtime member of the Rochester Rod and Gun Club.
The summer months would find Don tending to his garden. A passionate outdoorsman, in the fall and spring Don would take to the woods, chasing deer and turkey. Above all, Don cherished his family, and loved spending time with them.
Don is survived by his wife of 44 years, Susanne (nee Sullinger); son Eric Wilhelmy of San Diego, CA; daughter Megan Wilhelmy of Oakland, CA; sisters Pam Murphy and Diane (John) Spetrino; brothers Gary (Chris) Wilhelmy and Tom (Wendy) Wilhelmy; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Donald Sr. and Leona (nee Edwards) Wilhelmy.
Please join the family for a celebration of life at The 8820, 8820 Bender Rd, North Ridgeville, OH 44039, on Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 2-5 p.m. A sharing of memories of Don’s life will be at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
