Donald E. Cassity's Obituary
Donald E. Cassity, age 85, of Elyria, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Rae Ann Suburban Nursing Home in Westlake.
He was born in Detroit, Michigan and had been a resident of Elyria since 2004 after moving from North Ridgeville, where he lived for over 30 years.
A Korean War Veteran, Donald served in the US Navy from 1951-1955.
He worked in accounting for Goodyear Rubber Company in Cleveland, retiring in 1994, then continued working as a tax preparer.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville. What he enjoyed most in his life was being with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Carolyn (nee Handley); sons, Anthony (Sandy) and Patrick “Tim” (Staci) both of Elyria; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary “Ginny” Cassity.
Private Inurnment will take place in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with full military honors.
