Donald E. Brushaber's Obituary
Donald E. Brushaber, age 93, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at the University Hospital Elyria Medical Center. He was born on July 14, 1929 in Sandusky, and has been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1952. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, where he earned Marksman and Sharpshooter badges. He went on to work as a Union Carpenter for Local 1426, retiring in 1992. In his free time, Donald enjoyed ice fishing in the winter, and during the summer months one would find him golfing, going to circle track racing events, tending to his garden or hosting family BBQ’s and holiday dinners.
He is survived by his sons Greg and Jerry (Marian) Brushaber of North Ridgeville; daughter Peggy Adamic of Tavares, FL; grandchildren Ben (Shelly) Brushaber, Christopher (Mariah) Brushaber, Jessie (Tom) Murray and Julie (Mike Davis) Adamic; great grandchildren Lillie Brushaber, Luke and Reid Murray and Mischa Brushaber.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Esther; parents Elmer and Isabella (nee Ehlert) Brushaber; brother Zane Brushaber.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to North Ridgeville Community Care, 34015 Center Ridge Rd, North Ridgeville, 44039.
