Dominic R. “Rick” Marian Jr., passed away Monday, August 19, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville and Elyria for the past 35 years, formerly of Cleveland. He was an auto worker for Ford in Brook Park for 30 years before retiring in 2006. Dominic was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed golf, playing the accordion, classic cars and trucks, gathering on his porch where he was surrounded by all the neighbors, and spending time with his family. He was known as Poppo the street mayor. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Sharon; children Jennifer (Lonnie Tollett) Gerhart of Grafton, Dominic (Michelle Troyer) Marian III of Elyria; 9 granddaughters; 1 grandson; 2 great grandchildren; sisters Debra Campana of Elyria, Linda (James Plavic) Blacksmith of Grafton; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Dominic and Martha Marian; brothers Wilbert “Butch” Valentine, Keith Marian. Family will receive friends Sunday from 1 pm until the time of service at 3 pm at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd. North Ridgeville. Pastor Debbie Davidson will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the family.
