Dennis B. Stout's Obituary
Dennis B. Stout, age 81, of Grafton, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024 at the University Hospital Elyria Medical Center after a sudden illness.
He was born on June 3, 1942 in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania and has been a resident of Grafton for the past 46 years, moving from Amherst. Dennis was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and went on to work as a Business Banker and Manager for First Merit Bank, retiring in 2008 after 25 years of service. He had previously worked for 13 years as an Air Traffic Controller in the Cleveland Center. Dennis was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Elyria.
In his free time, Dennis spent his time biking with the Silver Wheel Cycling Club and traveling. He also enjoyed studying history, genealogy, was part of the Civil War Round Table and built World War II models.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eleanor L. (nee Dale), daughter Anna Christine (Eric) Dummit of Elyria; son Marc Stout of Augusta, S.C.; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Stout; mother Ruth Stahl (nee Bosart); stepfather Richard Stahl; brother Keith Stout.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Pastor Robert Weldon will officiate.
