Dennis R. Reikowski's Obituary
Dennis R. Reikowski, age 76, of Avon, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Crocker Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on June 17, 1948 in Cleveland, and has lived in North Ridgeville since 2011, moving from North Olmsted where he had lived for 40 years. Dennis was a proud and decorated U.S. Army 1st Air Cavalry veteran, serving in Vietnam, and went on to work for the City of North Olmsted Service Department Road Crew for 26 years, retiring in 2008. He also worked as a part time police officer in North Olmsted.
His free time would find him outdoors, either hunting or fishing. He also traveled extensively with his wife Susan.
He is survived by his sons Reed Reikowski of Avon and Brent (Marie) Reikowski of Vandalia, Ohio; grandchildren Caden, Brynn and Drew; sister Cindy (Bill) Simsalek of North Olmsted; half brother Gary Hormel of CA.
Dennis was preceded in death by his wife Susan and parent Dorothy A. (nee Larsen) and Ralph C. Reikowski.
Funeral Service Wednesday, April 9 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, where family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate. Interment with full Military Honors will be in Lutheran Cemetery, Cleveland.
