Dennis Mackewicz's Obituary
Dennis R. "Denny" Mackewicz, age 62, of North Ridgeville passed away Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Hospice House at the Renaissance, Olm. Twp., following a short illness.
Born in Cleveland, he was a resident of North Ridgeville for 30 years moving from Lakewood.
Denny worked as an accountant in the record business for most of his life.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville where he was serving on the Finance Committee; St. Peter Golf League and the 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus, where he was currently the treasurer . He also volunteered with the Lakewood Auxiliary Police for several years.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Audrey (nee Prososki); son, Daniel (Claire) Mackewicz of North Ridgeville; daughter, Suzanne (Michael) Montemagno of Lorain; grandchildren, Zachary and Matthew Mackewicz and Elizabeth Montemagno.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Sophie Mackewicz.
Friends may call Sunday from 3-6 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, where a rosary will be recited by the Knights of Columbus at 4:30PM. A prayer service will be on Monday at 9:30 AM in the funeral home followed by a 10:00 AM mass at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Doug Koesel, associate pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
