Dennis C. Bittner's Obituary
Dennis C. Bittner, age 73, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.
He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1976, moving from Concord, Tennessee.
Dennis served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He worked in electrical design as a contractor for NASA for 30 years, retiring in 2012.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville.
Dennis was a woodworker and an avid woodcarver. He enjoyed reading, working in his yard and being active with the men’s breakfast at the North Ridgeville Senior Center.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Patricia (nee Muffler); sons, Dan Bittner (Suzanne Phillips) of West Park, Mike (Tracy) Bittner of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Alexander, Elizabeth, Rowan and Drake Bittner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Irene (nee Johnson) Bittner.
Memorial calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A Memorial service will be held on Friday at 10AM in the funeral home. Fr. Bob Franco will officiate. Inurnment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
